It gained a million users over its first weekend after launch in early December, and within two months <strong>an astonishing 100 million people worldwide were using it. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">OpenAI ranks among the most important artificial intelligence research organisations in the world. Through its research it has a considerable influence on how the whole field develops. Its contributions include research into new AI technologies, the development of applications and tools for building AI, and collaboration with other organisations in the field. Microsoft became a major shareholder and applies the research results in its own products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Given the weight OpenAI carries in artificial intelligence, the organisation has high potential for the future.
