Take advantage of subsidised corporate AI training
Subsidised AI training for your employees, up to CZK 47,819 per person
The Czech state is currently reimbursing companies for training employees in IT skills, and artificial intelligence training falls into that category. The new subsidy programme, open to companies anywhere in the Czech Republic, contributes CZK 478.19 per person-hour of training, up to a maximum of CZK 47,819 per employee. The subsidy covers both the training activity itself and wage compensation for the time the employee spends learning. Applications can be submitted until 31 August 2028. (The programme is run for employers in the Czech Republic; if you are an international company with Czech staff, your local entity can apply.)
We deliver this training. We meet the conditions the call places on training providers: our educational activity is entered in the public registers, the teaching is led by a qualified trainer with many years of demonstrable training practice, and we will confirm in writing our ability to deliver the training activity under the terms and requirements of the call, which is the documentation you need for the mandatory transparent selection of a supplier on your side.
What the programme supports
What is supported is training in IT skills beyond the basics, in other words developing transferable digital competencies and skills involved in operating, creating or administering software and IT systems. Our training in working with generative AI, prompting, AI tools and their integration into company processes fits that definition. An extra bonus: graduates receive a certificate with which you can demonstrate your employees’ AI literacy as required by the AI Act.
The conditions you have to meet as the employer
Small, medium and large enterprises from anywhere in the Czech Republic can take part. You can train employees on an employment contract (a working week of at least 10 hours) whose employment will continue for at least another 3 months after the training activity ends. People on short-term work agreements cannot be supported.
The minimum length of the training activity is 50 hours. The maximum is 80 hours for people under 50 (support of up to CZK 38,255.20 per person) and 100 hours for people over 50 (support of up to CZK 47,819 per person). Every participant has to complete at least 80 % of the course. Within a single calendar month you may train for at most 70 % of the participant’s agreed monthly working time, so the course is typically spread over several months. Teaching can take place in person or online. The subsidy is reimbursed after the training activity ends, according to how it actually ran.
Part of the programme is the obligation to carry out a transparent selection of the supplier under the terms of the call; we will help you with the documentation for that procedure.
An example: what the subsidy covers
AI training of 80 hours for 15 employees, where the applicant claims the contribution both for the training activity and for wage compensation: 80 × 15 × CZK 478.19 = CZK 573,828.
The price of the training and the minimum group size
We have set our prices so that the unit subsidy rate covers them in full: the course fee will never exceed the support you receive per participant. The minimum group size is 10 participants, and with larger groups the price per person falls, so it pays to send more people at once. The maximum group size is 15 people.

What it will cost you: worked examples
In every case the course fee is lower than the maximum subsidy, so your cost for the training itself is CZK 0. The bigger the group, the more headroom is left over from the subsidy rate.

On top of the subsidy you can also claim wage compensation for the time your employees spend in class, so the training costs you neither the course fee nor the team’s productive time.
The training programme: Artificial Intelligence in Practice, 50 hours
The programme takes participants from the basic concepts of AI all the way to advanced use of the tools in company practice. It is designed as a mix of teaching, practical exercises and workshops on real tasks from your own field. It can be delivered in person, online or in a blended form, and spread over several months so that it fits within the limit of 70 % of monthly working time.
Module 1: Introduction to artificial intelligence (4 hours). What AI is, how it works and what effect it has on individual professions and activities. Basic concepts, history and the current state of play. Participants will understand why AI works the way it does, and why it is not magic.
Module 2: Machine learning, neural networks, generative AI and vectorisation (6 hours). The key technologies behind today’s AI. How systems learn from data, what neural networks are, how generative AI works and what vectorisation is. The principle behind GPT models explained comprehensibly, without mathematics, but in depth.
Module 3: ChatGPT and language models, the basics (6 hours). Setting up and configuring an account, an overview of the features and personalisation. Conversation context, tokens, hallucinations and the limits of the models. Participants will understand when to trust a model, when not to, and how to verify its output.
Module 4: Prompting, from the basics to advanced techniques (8 hours). How to ask in order to get usable answers. Prompt structure, roles, context, examples, iteration. Advanced prompting techniques and their application to the participants’ own working scenarios. Practical exercises throughout.
Module 5: AI tools for text, audio and images (8 hours). Hands-on work with tools for generating and analysing text, summarising documents, transcribing and analysing audio, editing photographs, and generating images and video. Participants try the tools out on their own data and tasks from their own field.
Module 6: Your own AI assistants and automation (7 hours). Designing and building your own assistants (CustomGPTs) tailored to company processes: customer support, internal knowledge bases, data processing. The basics of automating repetitive tasks with AI.
Module 7: Embedding AI in company processes, security and AI literacy (6 hours). How to identify the areas where AI adds the most value in your company and how to set up the implementation. Working safely with company and personal data, internal rules for using AI, and the AI Act’s requirements for employees’ AI literacy.
Module 8: Closing workshop and knowledge check (5 hours). Practical training on real scenarios from the participants’ work, work on their own projects with the trainer’s support, solving specific company problems. Knowledge is checked with an online quiz and a final test. Graduates receive a certificate of completion.
Fifty hours in total. For people over 50 the programme can be extended to as much as 100 hours by deepening the practical workshops, individual consultations and modules focused on your specific company agenda.
A sample schedule: 50 hours across three months
We spread the course over three months, two teaching days a month plus a short online wrap-up. For a full-time employee, 16 hours of teaching a month is only about 10 % of working time, so the 70 % limit is met with a lot of room to spare and you do not lose people for long uninterrupted blocks.
Month one. Day 1 (8 hours, in person): Module 1, an introduction to AI, and the first half of Module 2, machine learning and neural networks. Day 2 (8 hours, about a fortnight later): finishing Module 2, generative AI and vectorisation, and the whole of Module 3, ChatGPT and the basics of working with language models.
Month two. Day 3 (8 hours): Module 4, prompting from the basics to advanced techniques, a full day of practical exercises. Day 4 (8 hours): Module 5, AI tools for text, audio and images, working on the participants’ own data.
Month three. Day 5 (8 hours): Module 6, your own AI assistants and automation, plus an introduction to Module 7. Day 6 (8 hours): finishing Module 7, embedding AI in company processes, security and the AI Act, and the first part of the closing workshop.
The wrap-up (2 hours, online): the second part of Module 8, presentations of the participants’ own projects, the final test and handing over the certificates.
That makes 6 × 8 + 2 = 50 hours in total. The rhythm of two days a month gives participants room to try the techniques out in practice between blocks and to come back with questions of their own. It also helps meet the compulsory attendance rule: miss one day and you still have 84 %.
What you will need
For the quiz, an internet connection and a phone, tablet or PC. For the practical work, your own ChatGPT account; anyone who does not have one we will set up on the spot. Building your own assistants requires a paid ChatGPT account. If you do not have your own premises, a projector or laptops for the participants, we can arrange those by agreement.
Important details:
- The minimum length of the training activity is 50 hours.
- The maximum length of the training activity is 80 hours for people under 50.
- The maximum length of the training activity is 100 hours for people over 50.
- Employees on an employment contract can take part regardless of the size of their contract (at least 10 hours a week), provided it lasts at least 3 months beyond the end of the training activity.
- Training of people on short-term work agreements is not supported.
- Each participant has to complete at least 80 % of the course.
- Training can be delivered in person or online.
- Within a single calendar month training may take up at most 70 % of the participant’s agreed monthly working time.
- The subsidy is reimbursed after the training activity ends, according to how it actually ran.

The training prices given are exclusive of VAT.
When you get the money back
It is important to note that the subsidy is paid retrospectively (ex post), so the company has to have enough funds to pre-finance the training. Even so it is an outstanding opportunity to cut the cost of training in artificial intelligence substantially and strengthen your company’s competitiveness in the market.
Payment terms: 30 % before the training starts, 70 % after it is completed. You then submit proof of payment to the subsidy authority and the subsidy is reimbursed to you.
